RUBBER EXPANSION JOINTS

Rubber Expansion Joints are widely used in industries such as Chemical, Fertilizer, Cement, Power, Steel Plants and so on, as they are robust in construction and has excellent movements, anti-vibration properties. They are also designed to withstand pressure/vacuum applications and resist service conditions like chemical corrosion and slurry abrasion. They are also used to insulate against transfer of vibrations and noise emanating from pumps, compressors, heating and air conditioning systems.

Type : Single/Muti Arch, Concentric/ Eccentric Reducer, Sleeve, Filled Arch and Rectangular Types.

Single Arch Design

Double Arch Design

Material of Construction :

Materials of construction to include variety of Elastomers like Natural, Neoprene, Butyl, EPDM, Nitrile, Hypalon, tube and cover, suitable for system service, and multiple plies of polyester, canvas or nylon cord, with internal steel wire reinforcing.

Features:

Rubber Expansion Joints are robust flexible and durable connections installed in piping systems handling fluids, gases and chemicals under pressure and/or vacuum to accommodate movement created by the stresses resulting from changes in ambient temperature or varying temperature of material handled.

  • 250¡ãF Continuous Service Stand ard
  • Pressure to be suitable for service, with a 4 to 1 safety factor of burst to rated pressure.

End Fittings :

Solid flange ring is clamped in place by the steel back up flanges. The built in ring prevents the rubber from pulling out of the retention flange. Control rods to be furnished in unanchored applications. Rubber expansion joints provide the ultimate solution to:

  • Accommodate pressure loads, and isolate vibration
  • Neutralise axial, lateral, angular stresses
  • Reduce noise
  • Compensate for misalignment, and prolong life of motive equipment

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Wide Flowing Arch Design
  • Exceptional All Directional Movement Capability
  • Virtually Eliminates Sediment Buildup
  • Higher Pressure Rating than Conventional Expansion Joints
  • Excellent Chemical and Abrasion Resistance
  • Reduces System Noise
  • Isolates Shock and Vibration
  • Compensates for Minor Misalignment and Offset
  • Low Stiffness and Deflection Forces
  • Economical Fully Molded Construction
  • Large Inventory Means Quick Shipments
  • Simple to Install, Lightweight, and High Strength
  • Provides Easy Access to Piping and Equipment
